Welcome to Major's Retreat ("we," "us," or "our"), a nature retreat located in Ramnagar, Karnataka, India, offering accommodations, events, and recreational activities. These Terms of Service ("ToS") govern your use of our websites, www.majorsretreat.com and book.majorsretreat.com (collectively, the "Website"), as well as any bookings, services, or interactions with Major's Retreat, including but not limited to stays, events, and activities (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing the Website or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these ToS. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Website or Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent if under 18) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. These ToS constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Major's Retreat.

2. Services Offered

Major's Retreat provides:

Accommodations: Glamping tents, pine wood cottages, village-style rooms, and day-use facilities.
Events: Venues and services for weddings, birthdays, corporate team-building, and workshops.
Activities: Outdoor games, access to an organic pool, and upcoming adventure features (e.g., zip lines).
Booking Platform: Online reservations via book.majorsretreat.com or through direct communication (e.g., WhatsApp, email).

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

Reservations: Bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of payment or a deposit, as specified on the booking platform. All bookings must be made through authorized channels (Website, phone, or approved third-party platforms).
Pricing: Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated and include applicable taxes unless specified. Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will honor the quoted rate.
Payment: Payments are processed securely via the Website or authorized payment gateways. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize charges for Services booked.
Cancellations and Refunds:
- Cancellations more than 30 days before the booking date are eligible for a full refund, minus a 5% processing fee.
- Cancellations 15-30 days prior receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations less than 15 days prior are non-refundable.
- No-shows forfeit all payments.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7-14 business days.
Modifications: Changes to bookings (e.g., dates, guest count) are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

4. User Conduct

You agree to:

Provide accurate, complete information when booking or registering.
Use the Website and Services in compliance with all applicable laws, including Indian laws.
Not engage in activities that may harm the Website, such as hacking, data scraping, or uploading malicious content.
Respect the property, staff, and other guests during your stay or event.

Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

Unauthorized commercial use of the Website or Services.
Disruptive behavior during stays or events (e.g., excessive noise, damage to property).
Violation of safety guidelines (e.g., organic pool rules).

5. Intellectual Property

8. Guest Responsibilities

Property Care: You are responsible for any damage caused to Major's Retreat property during your stay or event. Repair/replacement costs will be charged to you.
Compliance: Guests must adhere to check-in/check-out times, house rules (e.g., no smoking in rooms), and activity guidelines.
Health and Safety: You acknowledge that certain activities (e.g., adventure features) carry inherent risks. Major's Retreat is not liable for injuries unless caused by our gross negligence.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Website or Services at our discretion, without notice, for violations of these ToS, including non-payment, disruptive behavior, or illegal activities.

10. Force Majeure

Major's Retreat is not liable for failure to perform Services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or technical failures.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These ToS are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to mediation or arbitration in Bangalore, per the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before pursuing legal action.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these ToS at any time by posting the revised version on the Website. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Website or Services constitutes acceptance of the updated ToS.

14. Miscellaneous
